Greenville Ad Club Sweeps Club Achievement Categories
Greenville, SC (September 5, 2004) – The Greenville Ad Club (GAC), one of the top local advertising clubs in the nation, swept the American Advertising Federation’s Club Achievement Categories in Dallas, Texas for 2003 - 2004. GAC won first place in the categories of Club Management, Programs, Government Relations and Public Service (which included $1500 in prize money), and finished third in Diversity and Advertising. The $1500 in prize money will go to promote continued professional development among members, student internships, recognition of creative excellence, and more.
Each year GAC members and volunteers work tirelessly to create success throughout the community by donating time and services to a number of organizations. For example, the 2003-2004 Public Service campaign helped raise nearly $110,000 for the Meyer Center for Special Children by donating services and creative to their 50th Anniversary Benefit Concert Fundraiser with Edwin McCain.
For over 50 years, the Greenville Ad Club has won local and national awards that speak to commitment to excellence in advertising and support of the local community. Each year, GAC is judged against other clubs in the same division according to American Advertising Federation standards and competition rules. And every year the Greenville Ad Club dominates the competition. Congratulations to the winners of this year’s awards.
The Greenville Ad Club is an affiliate of the American Advertising Federation (AAF), the country’s leading professional advertising organization.
